Garden Portfolio

Nordland Landscapes designs and builds gardens all over London and the home counties.

Based in Muswell Hill, north London, we are landscape construction, garden design and build specialists. During 25 years of working within the design and build industry, we’ve worked on hundreds of projects, ranging from small gardens to two-year long projects.

Whether we’re building for a garden designer or from one of our own designs, bringing you an amazing yet functional outdoor space that exceeds your expectations is what we do best.

Modernist Garden

Modernist Garden

This garden had originally been installed by the developers of this new-build property. The homeowner, a trained garden designer, provided us with the design to replace the garden that didn’t suit the homeowner’s needs. Having a north facing aspect, the garden didn’t get a lot of sunlight.

Formal Garden and Playground

Formal Garden and Playground

This garden was designed to resemble the lines of a cello. The large lawn is edged in a reclaimed yellow stock brick laid on edge in a sweeping and surrounded by traditional planting and large trees. To split the garden into two, we used trellis to screen the children’s play area at the rear of the garden from the rest of the outdoor space.

Contemporary Courtyard

Contemporary Courtyard

This garden was overgrown and not used at all by the property owners. The homeowners wanted a garden that was family friendly but both contemporary and modern. To achieve this, we opted for materials that matched the stylish interior of the house. We introduced more light by selecting lighter coloured material.

Terraced Garden

Terraced Garden

This garden had seen better days and was riddled with issues. The homeowners wanted to breathe fresh life into this outdoor space so that they could enjoy it in all weathers. The first issue to address was that the garden sloped quite dramatically away from the house which meant that it felt awkward and unuseable.
